Introducing the United Nations Global Compact Target Equality Accelerator.
This nine-month program is available to companies involved in the United Nations Global Compact, aiming to establish and achieve significant corporate goals for women’s representation, equal pay, and leadership in business.
By engaging in facilitated performance analysis, capacity-building workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and multi-stakeholder dialogue at local, regional, and international levels.
Participating companies in the Target Gender Equality Accelerator can enhance the implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles and bolster their support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Requirements
To participate in the Target Gender Equality Accelerator, companies must be members of the UN Global Compact or be willing to join, and meet the following criteria:
- Committed to learning about corporate target setting and taking actions to advance gender equality in the workplace.
- Willing to designate two representatives to engage in program activities and events, and appoint an executive-level “ambassador” to stay updated on program developments, offer support, and attend high-level events.
- Currently involved with a Global Compact Local Network or willing to join if required by the Network.

Companies located in the specified countries and participating in the UN Global Compact can enroll in the Target Gender Equality Accelerator through their Global Compact Local Network.
Francophone Africa Track: The Francophone Africa track will unite companies from Francophone Africa and conduct the program in French. Apply for this option if you’re situated in a country from Francophone Africa not listed above.
Global Track: Conducted in English, the global track will provide identical curriculum content as the in-country track, delivered through a combination of live and on-demand sessions.
This global track will be accessible in countries where an in-country program is unavailable.
