Benefits of the Knight Hennessy Scholarship at Stanford University
- From the time of your admission and your selection, you will receive a funding grant for three years.

To apply for the knights-hennessy scholarship eligibility process is in two parts:
The first and most important requirement for the Knight Hennessy Scholarship is getting admitted to Stanford. You must apply to, be accepted, and enrolled in any full-time Stanford graduate degree program. Some of the programs include, but are not limited to, DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, MS, or PhD programs. You must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
- You are applying independently but simultaneously to KHS and a full-time graduate program at Stanford so that you can begin both in the same academic year.
- You will apply to KHS so that you can start both in the same year even if you have already been admitted to a full-time Stanford undergraduate program and have chosen to defer your start date.
- You are a current undergraduate at Stanford but are willing to apply to add another full-time graduate degree program so that you can begin KHS and the new program in the same academic year.
- You are currently enrolled in your first year of the Ph.D. program at Stanford and want to apply to KHS so that you can begin KHS in your second year of Ph.D. enrollment.
There are no restrictions to any discipline or program. This means that you can study any course of your study. However, it’s important to note that priority will be given to those who will spend at least two years studying at Stanford University.
The second important requirement for the KH Scholarship is that you must have earned, in January 2017 or later, a United States bachelor’s degree or any other certificate that is equivalent from a prestigious college or university. That is, To apply to join the 2024 Session: You must have obtained your first bachelor’s degree by January 2017 or later.
For candidates who served in the army, we extend the qualifying period by two years in recognition of their prolonged service obligations. However, they must have completed their degrees by January 2015 or later to be eligible to enroll in 2024.
Also, as a current Stanford student, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship provided that you will earn your first degree by September 2024.

If I graduate from an institution outside the United States, what are the eligibility criteria for me?
To be eligible, you must possess an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from any prestigious and accredited university. You must also meet the requirements of the graduate programs you want to pursue to be qualified for any graduate study at Stanford University.

Can I still become a Knight-Hennessy scholar if I graduate in 2016 or before?
You are not eligible for admission as a Knight-Hennessy scholar if you received your first or bachelor’s degree more than seven years before the intended enrollment date.
