The Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS) has announced that the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, will be the special guest of honour at the event. The summit, which will take place in London on May 24, has the theme “Invest Nigeria, Invest Africa,” emphasizing the focus on bolstering investments in the region.
Uba Sanni, the Governor of Kaduna State, is slated to deliver the keynote address, highlighting the strategic initiatives and opportunities within Kaduna and the broader Nigerian context.
The summit will also feature prominent figures such as Temitola Emitola Adekunle Johnson, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, and Abike Dabiri Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission. These leaders will discuss various aspects of investment and development that can benefit from diaspora engagement.

Lady Doyin Ola, the media manager for the summit, has stated that the event will host a diverse group of attendees, including Diaspora business leaders and international investors from the UK, Commonwealth, and beyond. The summit will officially open with remarks from Ambassador Cyprian Heen, the Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
In a recent announcement, Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan, founder of NDDIS, revealed a significant development in securing philanthropic funding to support projects on a forgivable loan or grant basis. “This year’s summit marks a pivotal moment as we initiate direct involvement in evaluating and supporting projects that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” Prince Folayan expressed.
This collaborative effort is supported by entities such as the African Diaspora Direct Investment Summit, the Nigerian High Commission, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Providus Bank, and several other partners, all of which are committed to fostering sustainable development through strategic diaspora investment.
