CERN offers international Internships and a fully funded CERN Summer Student Program in Switzerland to all nationality holders., and offers opportunities to undergraduates and Master’s degree students from any academic background.

Eligibility Criteria

Intending candidates are to note the following criteria before applying:

  • Candidate must be a Bachelor’s or Master’s student (not PhD).
  • Must not have worked at CERN before with any other status.
  • Should be fluent in English.
  • Having a good knowledge of French would be an added advantage.

You will be required to have the following documents, clearly marked: “Curriculum Vitae” “Motivation letter”, “Academic transcript” etc.) and in a PDF format in order to complete your application.

  • A curriculum vitae in either English or French.
  • A copy of your most recent academic transcript.
  • Two mandatory reference letters, from your lecturers/teachers and/or previous internship supervisors.

It is necessary that you have all documents needed at hand before you start the application on the career portal. (only reference letters are to be submitted afterward).
